Become a FOAMed contributor


We’re looking for contributors to help the FOAMed editorial team produce educational resources (podcasts and blogs) for RCEMLearning (the RCFN and RCEMLearning will be integrated into a single site in April 2017). The RCEM’s FOAMed site was launched in the autumn of 2014 and has gone from strength to strength; it’s currently one of the most popular resources in terms of usage and downloads on the RCEM’s elearning portfolio.

We’re looking for new team members to get involved to help us continue to develop its burgeoning reputation and resources. If successful you’d become an RCEMLearning FOAMed contributor and would be responsible for producing and editing FOAMed content. Contributors will report to the FOAMed Editorial Team and the RCEMLearning Editorial Executive, and you may be required to occasionally attend meetings of these groups.

Person specification 

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Applications from all professional grades who are members of good standing with the RCEM.
  • Diverse educational and clinical interests.
  • A history of involvement in educational/elearning projects, especially FOAMed activities.

How to apply

We’re looking for people to specialise in the production of podcasts and blogs. Along with your CV and covering letter detailing why you feel you’d be a good fit for the role please submit either of the following with your application. Please note we’re looking for applications from people interested in producing either blogs or podcasts, not both:

  • Podcasts: Please submit a 5 minute (minimum) to 10 minute (maximum) on a topic of your choice.
  • Blogs: Two blogs (minimum 500 words, maximum 1000 words) on a clinical topic of your choice.

Deadline & next steps
